“As Jesus and his disciples went on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed him in her home. She had a sister named Mary, who sat down at the feet of the Lord and listened to his teaching. Martha was upset over all the work she had to do, so she came and said, ‘Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her to come and help me!’ The Lord answered her, ‘Martha, Martha! You are worried and troubled over so many things, but just one is needed. Mary has chosen the right thing, and it will not be taken away from her’” (Luke 10:38-42 TEV).

“The hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, ‘Son of man, can these bones live?’ I said, ‘O Sovereign Lord, you alone know’” (Ezekiel 37:1-3 NIV).

“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today... the Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.... However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees... The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron. The Lord will turn the rain of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed” (Deuteronomy 28:1, 12, 15, 23-24 NIV).
